Christingle service lights up Isleham Church!

On the 1st of December 2016, the children from Isleham C of E Primary School joined the congregation of St Andrew's Church Isleham for a special 'Christingle' service, celebrating the start of Advent and the run-up to Christmas. The Year 6 children lined the aisle to pass a flame between their Christingles and hold them aloft. This year, the service coincides with the decoration of the church for the 'Festival of Light' so there were lots of beautiful lights and trees on display during the service as well as the light of the Christingle flames. The children were delighted to receive their own Christingle orange decorated with a candle and sweets to take home. Thank you to everyone involved in preparing these special gifts.
