At Isleham CE Primary, we believe that homework supports children’s learning and is an important extension of the work we do in school. It helps parents and carers to understand our curriculum better and gives them opportunities to support this.

Across the school, we set homework on a regular basis as appropriate to the age of the child. We also expect parents to read at home with their child every day, in addition to homework tasks.

We provide a homework book or folder for children to keep their work in and they can collect special stickers which go on the front of the folder or book to acknowledge the return of completed tasks.

Children unable to complete tasks or activities at home may be supported to do so through the  school ‘Homework Club’. This may include the opportunity to access ‘MyMaths’ for completing online maths homework.

More information about homework can be found in the Homework Policy found in the Key Information section of our website.
