How we teach about relationships

In our school, children follow a programme of personal, social, health & citizenship education lessons to help prepare them for dealing with emotions, safety and life in our diverse world and community. Please read the leaflet above to find out specifically how relationship education fits sympathetically into this curriculum.
Following our virtual meeting about the teaching of Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), please find below the PowerPoint used during the presentation, giving an overview of the objectives taught in each year group and an indication of the resources that will be used over the forthcoming weeks. Each year group will cover a range of objectives linked to both Health Education and Relationships Education.

Please also find a copy of the guidance leaflet for parents, published last year by the Department for Education,  following the changes to the statutory status of the PSHE curriculum.
