In English we have been focusing on traditional tales. We have been looking at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.  The children created actions to retell the beginning of the story before creating an alternative middle section.  The children designed a new setting and character for Jack to find at the top of the beanstalk.

In Science we have been looking at materials.  We carried out an investigation to see which material would be best for Christopher Columbus' boat.

Welcome to the Spring Term!

This term our topic is:

During this topic will be looking at ‘Animals, including humans’ we will look at types of animals and the habitats they live in.  We will also be focusing on the Circus, looking at the history of the Circus.  Linking this to our work on Animals, we will think about the use of Animals in the Circus and how this has changed over time.

On Friday we visited Soham Village College and took part in the Circus Skills Festival.  It was great fun and we learnt lots of new skills!
In Maths we have been looking at our number bonds, we worked in groups and used resources to find number bonds and prove the statement "20 has more number bonds than 10".

In ICT we used algorithms to programme a BeeBot to move around the map. We debugged our algorithms until they complete the actions correctly.
