Celebrating Christmas 2017

8th December 2017
This has been a lovely festive Advent season in school, commencing on the 1st December with our Christingle service in St Andrew's Church, Isleham, and culminating on the 19th December with the carol service also in church. Huge thanks to the PTA Committee and everyone involved in making the School Christmas Fair on Friday 8th December such a success. It was a wonderful evening; we were delighted that Father Christmas could be with us! A huge sum of money was raised for the school, as well as lots of fun had by all at the Year 6 games stalls, and lots of Christmas treats bought, sold and won. In addition, Christmas jumper day and our collection for 'Save the Children' at the church was really well supported, and the school donated 50 filled shoeboxes of gifts for the local Samaritan's Purse Shoebox Appeal, sorted and distributed by Pound Lane Free Church. The school choir have also been spreading Christmas cheer by singing at the community carol concert on the 10th December, and for the residents of Limestone Close and Gracewell Care Home in Kennett during the week of the 4th December. In addition, our House Captains went on a walk around Isleham to deliver some of the Fen or Fifty Charity vouchers to those over 60 in Isleham. We are grateful as always to all of our families for their support of all we do, and to the children for making this such a memorable Christmas. We wish all our families a very happy Christmas break,
