Primary School pupils support the Isleham Poppy Project

Our Year 6 School House Captains did a fantastic job representing the school in the Isleham Remembrance Service 2018 on the 11th November. They joined the village procession to the war memorial and presented a poppy wreath on behalf of the school before attending the Sunday service of remembrance. It was wonderful to see the school's poppies interwoven with the many knitted poppies created by local people both inside and outside the church on the cascading nets. Each child in the school made a poppy with a large button attached and wrote their name on it. Some of the Year 6 children's poppy pastel pictures were also on diaply int he church. Many Isleham School children were also present on the day with the Cub, Scout and Beaver group attendees, and led the procession to the Church. Well done to all involved. This was a beautiful and poignant memorial service to remember those from Isleham who lost their lives in World War 1 and World War 2.
