Pupil Premium funding is received into our school budget for pupils falling into the following categories: Those pupils eligible for free school meals (FSM), those registered as belonging to a forces family, looked after children and those who have been adopted.
The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying national inequalities between disadvantaged children and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.
At Isleham Primary School Pupil Premium funding is used to support our disadvantaged pupils through focused staff development, highly effective booster classes and evidence based intervention groups. We ensure access to every aspect of the curriculum through free instrumental tuition and financial support for school clubs, trips and activities.
Impact of Pupil Premium spending on disadvantaged pupil attainment and progress is reported termly to the Governors. Please contact the school office for Governor minutes.
