Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium funding is received into our school budget for pupils falling into the following categories: Those pupils eligible for free school meals (FSM), those registered as belonging to a forces family, looked after children/ children who are or have been in care and those who have been adopted.

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying national inequalities between disadvantaged children and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.

At Isleham Primary School Pupil Premium funding is used to support our disadvantaged pupils through focused staff development, highly effective booster classes and evidence based intervention groups. We ensure access to every aspect of the curriculum through free instrumental tuition and financial support for school clubs, trips and activities.

Impact of Pupil Premium spending on disadvantaged pupil attainment and progress is reported termly to the Governors. Please contact the school office for Governor minutes.

Could your child be eligible for Pupil Premium funding?

It's easy to check; please see the letter or poster below... or pop into the office and Mrs Dennis can help you fill in the online form. Extra money could be available to the school to support your child.

Other children would not know, but your child's money could help the school to buy additional resources or extra support hours to boost your child's learning.
