Police visit to school assembly

We were pleased to welcome  PC Chris McLoughlin and PCSO Mags Harvey to school on Monday 21st February.

The officers spoke to the children about personal safety.

They reminded the younger pupils to ensure they always stay with a trusted adult, and let them know staightaway if they are approached by anyone they don't know.

They were shown how to recognise the Police uniform, and to report straightaway to a police officer or trusted adult if they are ever separated from their parents & carers.

The older children were reminded that if they are old enough to sometimes walk home or around their neighbourhood alone, that they are best to stay with at least one other friend and go straight home or to the place they have said they are going.

They were reminded to always let an adult know where they are going and when they will be back.

If they ever feel unsafe or are approached by someone they don't know, they were reminded to call 999 straightaway and run home or to a place of safety such as a shop.
