If you are considering moving your child to Isleham from another school, have just moved to Isleham village or surrounding area, or even if you have been posted to one of the military personnel bases nearby, you are really welcome to come and look around our lovely school to help you decide if you would like your child to join us.

Please contact our Local Authority, Cambridgeshire County Council, to find out about our Admission Arrangements:

https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/children-and-families/schools-learning/apply-for-a-school-place/primary-reception-junior-or-middle-school

At Isleham we use the standard Local Authority Oversubscription Criteria. Details of this can be found below:

 Oversubscription criteria

When a school receives more applications than there are places available (published admissions number, or PAN), the oversubscription criteria is used.

Every school has an oversubscription criteria and it dictates the order in which places are allocated.

At Isleham C of E Primary School, our oversubscription criteria is listed below:-

No changes have been proposed to our admission criteria or PAN for 2022 or 2023. The PAN is suggested to remain at 30, and places are allocated according to the following criteria:-

1. Children in Care, also known as Looked After Children and children who were looked after but ceased to be so by reason of adoption, a resident order or special guardianship order

2. Children living in the catchment area with a sibling at the school at the time of admission.

3. Children living in the catchment area.

4. Children living outside the catchment area who have a sibling at the school at the time of admission.

5. Children living outside the catchment area who have been unable to gain a place at their catchment area school because of oversubscription.

6. Children who live outside the catchment area, but nearest the school as measured by a straight line.

In cases of equal merit in each set of criteria, priority will go to children living nearest the school as measured by a straight line.
