Welcome to Pre-School

We are excited to welcome you to Isleham Pre-School.

Meet our team:

Gemma Spence (BA Early Years, level 6) - Is Co-manager and Pre-School lead educator. Gemma is DSL for the pre-school, matsh lead and is leading our maths champion programme.

Amy Houghton (Bed Primary Education with QTS, level 6) - Is Co-manager and Pre-School lead educator. Amy is SENDCO for the pre-school, literacy lead and currently studying for the NPQ Early Years Leadership.

Rebecca Lassauniere (Level 3) - Is our wonderful pre-school practitioner who enhances our curriculum with her french sessions, which are very popular with the children.

Jade Neve (Level 3) - Is our wonderful pre-school practitioner. Jade is Enco for the pre-school and has a keen interest in sensory play and learning.

Louise Crick - Is our office manager and will be your point of contact for any funding/pre-school queries.

We use the school hall twice weekly for PE sessions. We use the library once a week in small groups to encourage our love of reading. We also use the school field regularly for outdoor learning. We regularly change our days to ensure all children have the opportunity to engage with these sessions.

Children in pre-school are outside in all weathers to play and learn. We ask you to provide spare clothes and weather appropriate clothing e.g hat, gloves, warm coat in winter and sun hat, suncream in summer. Please provide a pair of wellies for your child to keep at preschool as we use these year round.

Please name all items of clothing/shoes sent in to pre-school.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is centred around the unique child, we recognise all children learn and develop at their own pace and we celebrate each child's individual strengths.

We look forward to working with you as we support your child to learn and develop in their time with us at pre-school.

Autumn Term 2. Engagement Plan

Gemma and Amy will communicate additional messsages and information via Tapestry, our online learning journal system.
